The South Mumbai Way of The Cross
On
the 4th April 2011 conducted by our parish was a nice experience to meditate on the passion of Christ by visiting
churches of different places. It gives us a chance to see various parishes in our city. Specially a great opportunity for
the senior members who don’t get such chance so often. This trip also brings along a time of fellowship and to bring
together the body of Christ (the parishioners) together as one family.
It
was nice to visit HOLY CATHEDRAL where the cardinal resides we also got a chance to see the statue of the Late Pope JOHN PAUL
II placed at the compound of the church.
ST.
FRANICS XAVIER CHAPEL made us feel united with the chapel packed with all of us for a particular station of the cross, statue
of the Risen Lord in the compound look very nice.
ST.
IGNATIUS CHURCH is very beautiful look like a heritage church.
ST.
JOSEPH CONVENT gave us a exposure of the loving children of god taken care by the sisters and of their mission held. Gloria
church built so nicely.
It
was nice to end by visiting Don Bosco Shrine. The church make me feel as if I am in heaven and I am happy to be named against
the name of St. John Bosco.
It
was a very nice pilgrimage held, Fr. Henry conducted the stations of the cross very well and even explained nicely about all
the parishes we visited. Thanks to all those who took part in organizing and conducting the South Mumbai Way of the Cross.
We our really privileged to have such trips organized by our parish. God bless you all.
