This ministry was started by Father Joe D. Pereira on the 22nd November 1991. 6 members were inducted. Now the strength
has grown to 36 members. The ministers visit the homebound weekly or monthly to pray with them and give them the
Eucharist. They also distribute Holy Communion at the daily and Sunday Masses. The ministers meet bi-monthly.
Every year on the occasion of the Parish Feast, the extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion in this Parish
are commissioned solemnly at the Feast Mass. As our Parish Feast is on the 7th of February 2010, they will be recommissioned
for another year.
